These are some repaints I've been messing with. Ohio River & Western 777 and West Virginia & Ohio 431. I just thought a little more colorfull Berks were in order. For me anyway.

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Thanks John. I download the Ohio Rail Steam 2 pack and saw those blue passenger cars. So I borrowed the idea of the American R.R. Berk I did awhile back and used the blue scheme re-done to match. The color between the yellow pin stripes is the dark blue. It doesn't show to well in the screenie's. 759 American Railroads below.
I'm a huge U.S. steam fan myself. I run some disels, mostly early ones but, you can find me steamin away most of the time.

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Wow! Rich Garber. Mr. Ohio Rail himself! I'm not worthy! LOL. Thanks man. I can't say enough of your route and all the rolling stock that comes with it these days.
If you or anyone is interested in getting these skins uploaded, I would be most happy to let someone else do it. I would do it myself, but have some bad experience from awhile back.
I've uploaded 100's of CFS stuff before and one day someone found a little file that was copyrighted. It was a sound file used in an aircraft that I had no idea where it came from. After months of being uploaded one day I got a nasty e-mail about it. Surprised and shocked! They were not happy and I wasn't either. I never would have done that intentional.
Needless to say, with over a 100 plane skins, sounds and the like that I did the right way, I've gottin a little gun shy because of one mistake that was not by no means a little one.
I always loved sharing anything I did to the simmers in the CFS community and would do it here too. If anyone wants the skins to properly pack and upload, (NALW's permission), let me know. Anymore, I just run the stuff on my own little PC R.R.Joe

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Heya Joe,Those are very nice repaints for sure. I believe all you need to do is contact the NALW gang and see what needs to be done for your skins to be uploaded. Most of what's available for Ohio Rail is contributed by folks who upload themselves. We encourage this as anything coming from 'us' tends to look as if we did it, and henceforth, credit and emails go to the wrong people. My goal in add-ons is to provide the basics of what people need to run the route and to keep what we do compatible with what we already released. On a personal note, adversity happens to everybody, for any reason for... it goes on. I've certainly had my share. The first rule is not to let this stuff get to you. One or two bad emails, yep, they can ruin your day. I even put a disclaimer on my website that I'll ignore any email that doesn't follow the rules I laid out for emailing me. But that's so I don't have too many days ruined that I enough frustrations built up that I stop doing this. I like what I do. I enjoy sharing it. And while someone may have a frivolous beef or a legitmate one, I prefer to be treated as they would want me to treat them, user or developer. I learned from this to ask myself, 'what do you love?' And if this is what I enjoy doing, then why let someone else having a bad day ruin it for myself and anybody else that enjoys what I do? So don't stop. Email and post misunderstandings are the norm. You do good work, you should share it. Everybody benefits, few won't. As far as copyright goes, this is a good community of folks for sharing. Just ask first and you'll be fine for most of what you intend and would like to do.Rich Garber

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Thanks for the encouragement Rich.
After I posted that I thought to myself, why the heck not start uploading again! I'll get in touch with NALW and see what I need to change the file names to and so forth. I know it will have to be a separate Berk folder still using their alias cab and sound meaning uploaders must have there engines already. Been there done that stuff before in the past. Make an alternative Ohio Rails Berks or something like that. Might get the American R.R. up too.
We'll see. Thanks. JoeP.S. I know allot of Ohio Rail has many contributors. I read stuff. Everyone works together to make this hobby fun. I thank all of them.

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Well guys. Give me a little time. I want to re-number the engines so as not too clash with the ones that are out there. 759 is a real repainted engine that was running the rails years ago. I want to get the O.R. versions re-numbered so they don't interfere with the O.R. Steam pack 2. I'll get on it.
The problem I had in the CFS part was a big deal and almost lethal! It was not just an e-mail thing. These guys are a major contributor to the flightsim world! Not a small guy, but a big one! Made me back up a few steps.

RE: Just some Ohio Rail Berks.

Heya Joe,They look real nice. From what I see it's the flight simmer's loss then and our gain. Ya already practically got the go word from Chuck, the head hauncho at NALW, so you're just about set. Most of the troubles I've seen around here with train simmers is when somebody just went ahead and did something and then asked. Other than that there's only been a couple of weird times so trouble with copyright isn't as bad here as it is or used to be with flight simming.I'm an avid flight simmer myself and have seen a few of them battles. My favorite was Fly! I have ms2002 and fly2 and rarely see much time with either any more.Rich G.
