Bryn Siding on the E&N at Nanoose used to be the site of a molten sulphur transload facility in the 1980s. The siding itself had long been unused so this industry setup operations along the siding. Over the weekend I finished off the two unloading / transfer racks and placed them along with the small office by the siding. Here we see the Monday morning Parksville local dropping off two cars at the unloading racks.

Oh the detail put into the little things makes the difference between a bad looking route and an amazing looking route. Your route will be the basis for that being amazing. Keep the pictures coming.

RE: Morning Switching At Bryn Siding

There is only one thing that I will ask for when this route is ready for uploading as freeware. I don't mean to be picky or pushy in any means. Please make the installing of the route to our computers a reletively easy and a non-complicated process. That is all I ask. The route looks absolutely amazing and this will be the only freeware route that is an absolute must for me. If it was payware, I would deffinetly be purchasing it. Thank you and keep up the outstanding work!Dave

>Dave I am going to have someone give me hand with a self-installer to make the process of installation painless. The only other requirement with be the scale rail and roads package which you will need to download and install from 3DTrains.

G'DayVery nice shots?? Was wondering, is that route good or bad on frame rates? If it's good, I will get it. I know Atlanta and Macon is a Frame rate killer on my PC, the only thing I don't like about it. Luc Doiron

>Proud member of the "Mandatory CN No-Trail SD60F
>Organisation"!! I have played around with the scenery LODS to try and keep the frame rates reasonable as I know everyone does not have a powerhouse system including myself. I am using a 3 year old system that uses a Radeon 9700Pro, 2.4GHZ Intel processor, 512MB of ram and I am getting between an average of 20FPS. I run a clean system (no background programs) when running MSTS. I would think the majority of people have something comparable to my system these days if not better. While I was in hospital a couple of weeks ago I took my work laptop with me and installed the route on it. This is an older sytem with a P3 900Mhz processor and a 16mb video card. I was still able to get 6 FPS when running in the most dense scenery with all graphic sliders maxed out.

Very realistic looking scenery in those shots! Obviously a labour of love. You've captured the E&N quite well. Do you have any shots of my neck of the woods south of the 'hat?Stew
