RE: NS Clinchfield shotz

I love that C39-8! On the one I have, I use NALW's Dash7 cab and the P5 horn from KLW's NS Megapack. Sounds very realistic!

"Has anyone gotten an error like when they start up this route that it could not be loaded cause of some activity missing???"There are no activity's,how-ever there is a patch already for the route,it's a missing ace file. The route start's up with no problems for me.

RE: NS Clinchfield shotz

Finally got this thing downloaded. It's pretty cool, although going thru all that forest & tight turns I can't help the feeling that I'm running too many axles in my exploration.I'm not familiar with the ops on this sub, anyone know what kind of trains/power work this branch? Here's a few pics, enjoy, Rich.

RE: NS Clinchfield shotz

Very impressive.....If its at all possible, i think alittle less saturation on the green tree and ground textures would improve realism.LHW

RE: NS Clinchfield shots

They're in the file library. Look for them in the Gondola section using "topgon" as a search vehicle. There's also some other NS hoppers in the Hopper section.

Those are Train Artisians bethgons painted in NS livery. How-ever there are actuall "Topgons"in the file library, them are the ones NS actually uses.

The erros that come up are:Failed to save service
Failed to explorer player service
Failed to save activity file: Explorer.act
Failed to save explorer activity
Failed to load activity file: routes\Norfolk Southern-Clince Valley\Activities\Explore.actAnd then the computer locks up and have to re-start......

RE: NS Clinchfield shotz

Guys thats weird, I had no probs at all. The activity folder should be blank as there are none, just explore mode. Make sure you unzip the 1st Clinch Valley zip into your routes folder & then the next 3 to the Clinch Valley folder.Rich...Here's a few with less axles.

RE: NS Clinchfield shotz

Hawk,The best way to fix this is to delete the files in your activity's,services, traffic folders(leave the paths folder alone). You only need path files to run a route in "explore" mode.Is there consist files pertaining to this route? If so,you will need to delete those also.

"Where you get that track texture from?"I got it from a texture pack in the file library, along with the rail head texture.Sorry i don't remember the name of the zip,but the title is MSTS - TRACKBEDS AND RAILS TEXTURES by Ottodad. Some of the best lookin' textures i've seen! Very realistic.(As you can see)BTW the name of the roadbed texture is ACL-African_ACleantrack1.ace,and the railhead texture is ACL-SHINY_ACleantrack2.ace Hope this helps?
