Southern Pacific and Denver & Rio Grande Western Krauss-Maffei ML-4000 Diesel Hydraulic LocomotiveThere are 3 different road numbers for both DRGW and SP, for a total of 6 units. These will not be payware.Model and Textures by David Rowe
Physics by Bob Boudoin
Cabview and Sound by Thomas Pilder and Ingo Huppertz
Horn sound by Chad Thompson---------------------------------------------------------------------Notes:The Cabview is from the German V200 class Diesel Hydraulic locomotive, which were built by
Krauss-Maffei. While it is not 100% accurate for the SP/D&RGW models, it is better than using the
default GP38 or Dash9 cabs. An accurate Cabview will be made available once more information about the
cab layout is found. The Sounds are also from the V200 Locomotive.

Yes they were actual locomotives. There is only one left in existence. It is at the Cal State RR Museum in pieces unfortunately.
DRGW and SP each had 3. Rio Grande eventually sold theirs to the SP.Regards,

Attn: Bradley Linda,In German, whenever there's a vowel before a double or twin consonant, eg 'ff' (as above) or 'ck'(eg. lecken), the vowel is short and sharp with the following twin or double consonant pronounced quickly. So to answer your question, Maffei will be pronounced (depending on one's accent) as Muffei or Moffei(US accent).
To give you a better understanding of the English equivalant of a 'quick sounding vowel', think of the word 'rich'.
I hope that answers your question.Tonka.

> Is it pronouced...If pronounced in "proper" German, it would have to be:Krauss: like crows but with a very sharp "s" at the end
Maffei: like Ma as short for your mum + fi as in "financial"Lukas a.k.a Swissie
