With all the Pennsy BLW's and the nice BLW model designations, am I the only one that wants to shout "PENNSYLVANIA 6-5000!" ? Bradley Linda

Looks very nice but are you sure you got the nose right?
Spontaneously they felt a little too much EMD when compared to pics at North East Rails http://www.northeast.railfan.net/diesel52.html .
The SAL engine shows it best I think. Windshield slightly higher and the top of the nose slightly squarer/flater.
Also the cab roof looks too rounded.

You may be right...I'll try flattening things a bit.A bevy of Baldwins – image 17I know what you're saying...It's a lot flatter than it seems. This still doesn't look right.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!

How's this...
A bevy of Baldwins – image 19
I redid the windshield and nose a little more, and repianted in the official "Brunswick Green" with five stripes. Still needs work on the striping and some parts aren't retextured yet.The textures are now 2048 x 2048 originals that are reduced to whatever the sim takes...I thought that was 1024 x 1024, but MakeAce took the 2048 x 2048 files without complaint. I'm assuming the reduction is done internally. To top things off I'm now running the sim in 1600 x 1200 resolution. So far PRR 5827 is the only unit redone.I took this shot of "the herd" meandering through Washington yard...

RE: A bevy of Baldwins

I'm trying to upload some shots of the latest version, but Explorer crashes when I click on "Click here to choose your file"Anyway, I made the windshield openings more rectangular and less "droopy" and the roof pillars thicker. I think I may have gotten pretty close. Also added details, like the antenna, letteriing, etcFrank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!

AHA! The upload function is working again!
Here's a couple shots of the latest...

and a sklightly gamma corrected version that mey make it easier to see the cab modifications...
A bevy of Baldwins – image 27I think I'm going to use this color on the final product. My attempts at producing the right shade of "olive" haven't gone well.PRR 5812 will be done the same way, but with one stripe.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century!

Those look great! The 'babyface' units are a bit odd looking but it kind of has a sort of appeal because of that, doesn't it?A bevy of Baldwins – image 30"The F59PHI and Genesis are the lamest excuses for locomotives Amtrak has ever operated - accept it and move on.
