I've been so busy making the route I haven't had time to step back and look at it. It was hot and muggy here today...so I though I would go out and play in the snow.

RE: FRISCO - FS in the snow

Looking good, Larry!I replaced the 5 GP38's on one of your activities with 6 GP7's and started the run from north to south over the entire line. I'm only about one-third of the way in, and I really like what I've seen so far. I think you have a winner on your hands and I thank you for sharing it with the community!Henry

RE: FRISCO - FS in the snow

thanks Larry. you did a great job on the route. i'm going to enjoy running trains on it...I've got a busy schedule ahead, so it may be several days or more before I get back to working on the fall textures. but you never know...it's your creativity in designing the route that's making it come out so well with the replacement trees. thanks again...Tim Baldwin

ah, young one, that's the way winter snow looks up here in the frozen north...at least until the sled dogs dirty it with their business... Tim Baldwin

Tim, I'll have to agree with you on this one, but for a different reason. Living in the mid-south, the most snow we had last year was a 'dusting'. At least in the Sim I can have it "deep, white and everywhere", even if it's just my imagination RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com

True, True, we hardly ever get snow, we get more ice storms than we do anything. The biggest snow I can remember was in about 96' or 97' or it could be about 2000 because I played in it for 3 days because there was no school. Even though it doesn't snow, it looks goodThanks,
Jonathan

Man I am loving those trees. I wish I had them before I uploaded the route. I think they are a must have addition to the route. The ones with snow on the leaves are not realistic to the area, but the bare trunk trees are very close. One word on the snow. Actually on the route, especially between Winslow and Chester, two or three snows at least 12 inches deep were common up until the last few years or so (global warming?). I can remember many times as a kid coming down off the mountain having to plunge through snow drifts and we would get to Chester and people would ask where did all the snow come from because they didn't have any.By the way, if you want to know where I grew up start the Chester to Winslow activity. Look straight ahead up the railroad track to the mountain at the end of the valley. My dads farm takes up the whole top of that mountain, about 800 acres. My grandfather owned the entire mountain to the left of Chester that begins just north of the town. His house was about halfway up the mountain.Larry
