RE: EL Pics

Great pictures guys. I just love the EL/DL&W/ERIE. What was once the Erie main line between New York and Chicago goes right through town. I'm not too far from Pymatuning Jct. near Greenville, Pa. The junction at Pymatuning is gone. There are only a few telephone poles next to the existing single track between Hubbard, Oh and Hornell, Ny. The remaining track between Hubbard and Pymatuning was EL's 1st district. THe rest of the track between Pymatuning and Hornell was EL's 2nd district(the fast freight route). It curved away from 1st dist. at Pymatuning and headed west. 11 miles of 2nd district missing between Lattamer Jct. and Pymatuning Jct. Unfortunately, the BEST railroadin' around here was out on 2nd dist. I wish I could have seen all of the fast Erie trains that blasted through where weeds now grow. It sure would have been impressive. Anyway, keep crankin' out the good pics.

RE: EL Pics

Thank you, Jon, I'm lobbing the shots below instead now -- I ought have to forked over some dough for the website I created, because there's a time-scaled limit to how much its service provider will reveal the data (images, etc.) free of charge.Cheers,

RE: EL Pics

Sorry about the missunderstanding. I never thuoght that someone would think it meant ELevated. In answer to your question, I did mean Erie Lackawanna. Glad I got this cleared up.Thanks,
Jon
