SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill – image 1

All is quiet just north of the horseshoe on Crawford Hill whilst waiting for a SOO Line grain train which is due through this location any minute now.SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill – image 2Then the cry of 3 SD60's in full dynamic braking shatters the silence, with the K3L horn blasting. The headlight appears from around the corner.SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill – image 3Finally, they appear, 3 big red SOO Line SD60's on a 52 car grain train in full dynamic braking.
SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill – image 4The train has passed and Crawford Hill falls silent once again.
SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill – image 5We were able to pace the grain train later up the line and got one shot.

Hey
judging from the way that cab slants forward, I would venture to say that those pics were inside the cab of a P42 which would explain the 110. Thats a nice cab btw!

RE: SOO Line Action on Crawford Hill

Hi Kevin,
Ahhg Hah, I think you have it, and that would explain the 120 mph speedometer as well.
Thanks,
Bob
