Hello,Sadly I have been sick for quite a long time now, nothing serious but still annoying and I couldn't get much done.
But now here I am, back in service! Today I made a great trip to Mariazell by the famous narrow gauge Mariazellerbahn featuring the unique 100 year old 1099 electric locos. Full picture series (first few pics from last week):

First I went by InterCity to St. Pölten and then took a short trip on the Mariazellerbahn to St. Pölten Alpenbahnhof which features narrow gauge and standard gauge coach & diesel maintenance facilities.
Look, my head is a stop sign
Many out of service 2043 diesels could be found on the yard
There was also a special steam train to Mariazell that day, but I went by regular train
Erich Honecker? (No, it's not)
Shunting to put together the train I will be using
Ready to push back to St. Pölten main station
Back to the Alpenbahnhof, now with passengers
As we got nearer to the mountains, snowfall increased
A half-hour wait at Laubenbachmühle had to be added as the steam train ahead of us couldn't move as fast as scheduled
The train we have to wait for is slowly approaching
Laubenbachmühle station from the mountainside
Actually I should be angry, but the photo is soooo cool
Arrived at Mariazell
A reflection from a window of the house in the back provided this great effect!
Strange vehicles for the standard gauge tramway to the Erlauf lake near Mariazell. They mostly originate from the Viennese tramways
Ready to go back
Full moon over Frankenfels
Back to St. Pölten
Welcome to DBB!
The InterCity from Salzburg I arrived with at Vienna Hütteldorf pulled by a DB 101
Christmas tree and Schnellbahn at Hütteldorf
Greetings,
Roni
