Hey, all. So today I decided to hop on the new Sicilian Surfliner, and hop a ride from Catania to Messina to be with the rest of the family at Grandma's home. Since this is one of the many new Surfliner Routes now owned by Amtrak International, I decided to take my camera. To make the pictures more interesting, I kept a camera to myself, the engineer conceded to take one, and I had a few buddies meet the train along a couple of points along the route to take pictures there, too.A bridge:Taormina station:Taormina station again:Some bushes:A cityskape with the train:The train station:Some pictures of the Surfline:A very nice looking station, complete with hand-cemented tile. Some various bridge shots:At a station, looking east:Of course, no engineer is perfect, and he overshot the platform:A parking lot, very close to where the train flies by at 90mph:A station, where the train rushed past at 97mph:The view from a coastal road, notice the Asian food store:A roofer took this picture:A bridge warning the train to slow down:At a station, a straggler almost missed his train. The conductor, looking out one of the windows, ordered the engineer to stop. Looks like the straggler was too busy taking pictures of the train! The view of the train from a tree. Notice how close it is to the coast:Coming into a tunnel:The engineer took this as we were entering a station. No wonder he overshot! Another wall:Coming into Messina station:And finally, after I got off the train, I took one last picture of my train. Notice, the train board already is prepared for the train back.Hope y'all enjoyed!-Yeah, that's right! The Raider Marching Pride!!! -You can never have too much inner beauty. Actually, the cover only reaches the end of the platform and doesn't reach over the track, but looking back, it looks like it does cover the train. But oh well, I guess the visual effect is what makes the route so thrilling! :-D Lol!-Yeah, that's right! The Raider Marching Pride!!! -You can never have too much inner beauty. Each time I see pictures from an Italian Route, I'm amazed by what I see. The blue water of the Mediterranean sea look very nice and the atmosphere haze give to the scenery something romantic.Certainly! An other good route to download.Great screen shots man.
