Lots of time this Thanksgiving Holiday week to try out several of the routes available through MSTS. This one is Ohio Rails with some CSX action. Thanks Rich for the awesome route, John for the U23B CSX & Kelley for the freight!Michael

RE: Ohio Rails Screenshots

Know what? You can take pics for me any day! Those are some awesome pictures!! Agreed I'm biased but these are some of the best framed shots I've ever seen. Judd Spittler and John Peterson would be proud. If you don't mind I may steal some of these shots and post 'em on my site. No doubt about it, we got to get you onto our publicity department!! Gee whiz! Another great set of pics! It's good to see some good looking presentations like this. Might have to steal a couple of your pics too. Very nice and thanks for the nice compliment. Edit: Oh..missed the question. There will be one more extension to the route from Cambridge to Wheeling. Haven't started yet but I would like to soon.Rich Garber

RE: Ohio Rails Screenshots

Heya Bob!I saw in another threa somewhere, I believe it was coal hauling pics, that I saw a neat shot of the route provided by you with a long coal train snaking its way through what I believe to be 'the summit' between Zanesville and McConnelsville. It's a great shot too and I would like to post it too at my site if that's no problem. I have been trying to catch up to you in the msts chat room but I rarely have the chance to get in there lately since I hurt my back. I wanted to get your impressions of the route and would still like to do so. If you could let me know I can be reached at rgarber@vnet.net. And thanks!Rich Garber

RE: Ohio Rails Screenshots

Hi Rich,
Sure, you are welcome to use any of my shots you like, anyway you like,...well they wouldn't make very good toilet paper. Hope your back is getting better, I hadn't seen yoou around the chat lately. This may be a sign it is time to give up that WWF career..hehe. Get to feeling better, and I will email you later.
BTW, I have been posing a fair number of trains on your route lately. Your snow scenes are fantastic. I like the northern E-W leg for running intermodal freight. Lots of good stuff to explore. I have been giving Pete's AS-16s a workout on there, several places look like a good proxy for the Reading.
Thanks again,
Bob

RE: Ohio Rails Screenshots

Heya Bob! Ya, the WWF scene is getting a bit tough for me. Those gals sure know how to rough a fella up! Pretty soon here I would like to get started on the rest of that E-W extension out to Wheeling. It be alot like the extension from Zanesville to Cambridge; mostly double-track mainline for open running. However in Wheeling there would be a branchline for pickups/deliveries. This would complete the route as far as trackwork goes. There would also be a connection from Mt. Ephraim to somewhere in the middle of this run for the OR&W to have access to Wheeling to as told in the route history in the manual. Haven't decided when to start yet but the addiction to the RE is still strong here, not even cold turkey withdrawal seems to help! Rich Garber
