Today, after doing the necessary things: yardwork, taking #3 cat to the vet for his shots, etc. etc., I spent the afternoon playing with textures in Photoshop-LE. Then converted them to .ace. The results of some of these are shown in the next images. After careful study, however, it appears that there are few if any rocks noticable on the hill in the center of the upper loop, so I will remove the rock formation seen in these images, and texture it as a barren hill, which is what it appears to be. There are clumps of dense brush, but few trees, along the track in this area. Trees begin to get denser after the FishCreek area, and there will be a ranch in the canyon below that area (there really is one), and another just past the West end of Grace, but essentially no other dwellings, farms, etc. on this side of the mountain. Eventually there will be the old highway in the valley below Vendome, after which it goes pretty straight up to the top of PipeStone pass, far away from the railroad until about mile 1500.J. H. Sullivan

RE: More Freight action at Vendome - Milwaukee Rd.

A further comment: Because of "getting a knuckle" last night, I reduced tonnage by removing about 15 cars of a type that were not common in the 1960s, and then I moved the helper to about the 2/3 point in the train, rather than on the rear.I did not get a knuckle this time, but my PC sometimes balks at doing screen captures, and tonight it did, after the 4 you see here.I expect to release this one early next year, and when I do, I suspect that the operating types will lose their minds trying to figure out all the operational possibilities, and when they get tired of this line, how about 2-6-6-2s on the NP line to the north a few miles. Double TROUBLE----Jerry

RE: Where did you get-------

Right now it's a secret, but those are beta items which I am testing for someone, and also showing in the scenes as "teasers". He will release them for the masses eventually.Someone is also working on a Little Joe.BiPolar's were only used on the Coast Division until very nearly the end of passenger service around 1959 or so. At the very end, some of them made their way to the RMD but were not very successful there.Jerry
