Today I was called up to take 5 empty cattle cars from Fisher over to Parlin.Well everything was going great leaving St.Elmo(shown in picture 1).Well we where heading up the grade at a steady speed of 11 M.P.H when I noticed when Id pull back on the throttle I wasnt getting any steam into the cylinders, but i thought ahh Ill make anyways.Well just outside of Romley she started acting up real bad and i could only maintain a speed of 5 M.P.H(Pic 2) .So we eased through and We cleared the switch just outside of town when a valve blew and i couldnt maintain steam. So we thought heck we will drop these cars off on the siding and back the engine back across town and leave her in the siding till another engine can come pick up the cars and the disabled locomotive. To be Continued...
JoshKeep your hands on the throttle and your eyes on the rails
