This photo of this brand-new engine #819 of St. Louis Southwestern Railway was taken by my grandfather in 1942 when he was on the first day operaring this behemoth.Just kidding Now post yours...

I saw this thread so I posted a few shots from an activity I was running on Canton. Here a leased GP38-2 pauses at Jefferson on a coal run (courtesy of an adjoining railroad who just happened to "bump" one of the Canton RR GP9s).

Chris - I used to live in the greater Philadelphia area for many years and my wife and I would often do "escape weekends" to Lancaster County. Of course no visit was complete without a visit to the Strasburg RR. I loved watching their decapod, and of course enjoyed riding behind it in one fo the open "Hello Dolly" cars. Hoven't been back there in all too many years, but your photo brings back memories.Good luck with the route. If you make it available, I'll be one of the first to download it.
