A rare push pull appeared on Thursday on NEC V4.0 on the R2 from Philly to Newark on the 17:00 express. The train made good timing, and for the most part, ran early. The train got up to near 125 at one point. The train arrived at Newark around 17:52, very much ahead of schedule. The following screenshots describe the trip.
1) The rare train accelerates out of Philly. The locomotive is SEPTA 2305. The 5 cars are 2 CDOT cars, 2 MN cars, and 1 CDOT cab car.
2) The train speeds by Curtis Park station.
3) A closeup of the speeding locomotive.
4) The first stop for this train is Ridley Park.
5) The train departs its second stop at Chester.
6) The train idles at its third stop, Marcus Hook.
7) The train is at its fourth stop, Claymont, Deliware.
8) Approaching the fifth stop, the new Edgemoor, Deliware station.
9) Approaching the sixth stop, Wilmington, Deliware. The grand station looks great.
10) In your face shot of SEPTA AEM7 2305.
11) Departing the seventh stop, Churchmans Crossing in Deliware.
12) Last shot, after dropping off all the passengers at the eighth and final stop at Newark, Deliware, the train pulled ahead and to recovery. After that, the train deadheaded back to Philly. The CDOT cab car lead the way on the deadhead.
Hope you enjoy!!

RE: Rare Push Pull on R2 Newark

Cool. I'm thinking of making an activety with the R2 Express and a rare push pull. The MU traffic I'll be using with it will more than likely be the PRR MP-54's that once ruled the line since SEPTA MU's have yet to come out. When the MU's come out, I'll probably make several activeties for the R2. I also may make activeties for the MARC Penn Line when the MARC AEM-7 and MARC cars come out (I have the MARC HHP-8). Since MARC coaches have yet to come out, the MARC HHP is pulling Amtrak cars. Can't wait til NEC Pack 2 and the SEPTA Silverliners come out!!
