RE: Australian Steam

Both the loco and route should be available from www.railpage.org.au/steam4me/trainsim at some point in the near future. Though I gather Yuri is having PC/work problems. The image shows the 1.3 beta version of the route by Peter Newell...
1.2 version and info is here : http://www3.ceinternet.com.au/~petern/

RE: Australian Steam

Nice shots, guys. Seems that Sunshine-Ballarat is a fave for fantrips. Here is another, a D3 (nearly finished but for plumbing, cab and springs) with a rake of AW cars.Australian Steam – image 14Australian Steam – image 15Cheers,

RE: Australian Steam

A couple more. I was fortunate enough to catch the train as it crossed the trestle near Bacchus Marsh. The loco ran around at the Marsh, recoupled and the whole lot came back a few minutes later!Australian Steam – image 27Australian Steam – image 28Cheers,

Not unlike the D3 is the later K class locomotive. Here is what it looks like after about two hours work. Pretty rough, more to come.Australian Steam – image 29Australian Steam – image 30

RE: Australian Steam

Well, the D3 is nearly done, and the K is a few weeks later. Depends upon other factors, including some help from a group of talenmted individuals who can fill in my gaps, so it is forward from 2016 to 2007!I thought I'd try a lineup of Victorian steam...Australian Steam – image 36Australian Steam – image 37Cheers,

RE: Australian Steam

Time for a change of pace. More Victorian steam, although this time we turn the clock back a little. In 1877 the Rogers Loco Works of New Jersey supplied two 4-4-0 locos to the VR for light lines passenger work. Known initially as the D class, and later as "Yankee Ds", they served for thirty years. Here is a bodgey reskin of Jon Davis' excellent 'Inyo'. Love that model, the whistle sounds brilliant! The VR locos didn't have a bell, compressor, balloon stack or cowcatcher, but I work on the 'goood enough for me' principle! Hey, it's only 25 minutes of reskin work we're talking aboutAustralian Steam – image 38Cheers,
