First is One of my Squadron Members with me on his wing flying in Combat Flight Simulator 2 online

Holy Crap! is that a real pic of that Destroyer? They really put out that much fire when fire those cannons? how the hell do they keep the ship from flipping over with that kind a recoil?

Yes its a real picture and no its not a destroyer it is a Battleship the USS Missouri Those guns are 16 inch firing a 2500 lb shell and they fire them over 30 miles that ship was 50 years old when that picture was taken the Japanese surrendered on her deck in WW2
and that ship is over 750 feet long and 135 feet wide that is how it dosnt flip over and the recoil pushes the ship sidways a little but they also have ballast tanks to keep it from pitching
Just to give an idea about how big those guns are the barrel is 60 feet long not counting the turret itself and a man can fit into the breach

Sorry, I dont know much in the line of ships at all, only thing i'm sure of is a carrier when I see one, Thanks for the info though, Good picture too

WOW!!!!
Nothing beats an Iowa Class when it comes to firepower (Well except a russian Kirov class CGN maybe)!!!!
I was going to post that pic below, but i guess a Harpoon a little less impressive than that broadside!!!!
By the way thats a british Type 23 frigate firing that Harpoon. According to the hull no. (F234) its HMS Iron Duke.

Here is a few more for you to ponder on first is one of the shells being lowered into the magazene Second is a picture to give another perspective of the gun and another prespective of those guns being fired and the final shows a sister ship of the Arizona being rebuilt after being destroyed at Pearl Harbor tied up next to an Iowa class just to give a size differance between the last class of battleships with one of the older class ships

You on a SEAD mission? Those missiles on the outermost station look like HARMs to me. But if yes how do the GBUs fit in there?

It is actually a guided strike package we have.ButYes those are AGM-88's on there. Janes F-18 allows for some pretty odd strike packages. To be honest I have NO idea how we even made it off the deck.There were 2 more of us in the package, BUT they went off to report on a couple contacts.Apparently there were 6 bogies.LaterTim Kent

At one time I played CFS2 as much at Train-Sim.I DEFINITLY recogonize the VMF323rd squad, and have flown with or against you a couple times !!I liked the " with " you flights better !LaterTim Kent
