L1 rolls across the Kettle Creek trestle southbound with a mixed freight. The L&PS is under construction in my spare time with no timetable for release. Follow my progress at L&PS Wayne
I've never been a traction fan, but DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!I want to run some NS locals on that!
Running NS trains here would be perfectly correct! In the 60's the L&PS sold out to CN who use this line to reach a Ford Plant near St. Thomas. The NS has running rights to service that plant and run trains through here daily. The road overpass has been replaced with a level crossing, but the 1890's trestle in the background is still in use with a 5 mph speed limit.Wayne
Jake, yeah NS does run there, 2 trains a day, since L&PS is north south oriented, thats one northbound (328) one southbound (327)And here ya go, coming off the end of the L&PS as it looks today.Jon
This is great stuff man! How much time a week do you spend on it? It looks like an awful lot of work considering the clumsiness of RE!I like it very much!Greeting from Germany,Sebastian
VERY nice screenshotWayne, I just visited your website. You're route is very impressive - hopefully you can retain decent framerates with all that detail.Best of luck with your route. I know what it takes to produce that kind of work - I'm still striving to do it. Yours is one of the more beautiful.Mark A Southern Railway Fan
Its a great hobby and I am really enjoying building this route. I never have any RE problems by keeping my object count under the RE limits. The construction has gone pretty smoothly. I do all my work on an older 600Mhz PIII and get useable framerates ( >10). I am sure it will fly if I get some current computer hardware to run on. I think most of the unique look comes from lots of custom models including custom track models. Thanks all for the kind feedback. Wayne
