Once again, only electrics please. Others can be in the picture, but the electric should be the main subject. NALWs P32s are also accepted in E-mode.I'll start this one off with a meet at Valence on LGVMed 2.1b. The southbound train to Marseille is holding in the station as a northbound to Paris speeds by at 300 km/h.

Some older pictures and some newer ones.
1) A PRR freight train on the corridor
2) The Pacemaker running on PRR rails
3) Who said subways weren't allowed? No one did; that's why a set of 1959 tube stock is here.

Wow, Todd, impressive! Is this your route? The EF's I'm building were regulars on the Coast division. You're going to need these as helpers, maybe? All that's missing is pans and wires....Timtimmuir@wcn.net

RE: The wires are buzzing again!

Great shots Tim. They remind me of photos I have seen of the Boxcabs struggling throught he Rockies. That pic was taken on a "test route" I put together to try out Ron Picardi's bridge. While I may do the Coast Division one day,I need to finish up the Portage to Milwaukee portion of the La Crosse Division first. While I like the electrics, I also really like the Hiawathas and this route gives me a place to run em. Here's a shot of motorperson Gwen as she reaches for her hot chocolate. Gwen drives the latest Pennsylvania P5 locomotive from Island Electric and it looks like it's going to be a long night but that's OK. We have lots of milk and cookies along in the cab in case we're up past bedtime.Frederick Dreany, Island Electric, East

RE: Toast Anyone?

Thse look real nice. Are the Amfleets your models? Just wondering too, do the NJT passenger cars have middle doors, or are they like the regular Comet/Horizon cars with end doors? I remember seeing pictures of NJT passenger cars with middle doors...
Anyway, cool stuff!! Keep up the awesome work!

RE: Toast Anyone?

Now we can have a real NEC. The current one has too many HHPs and Acelas. Acelas are every hour in each direction, and HHPs are not extremely common. The E60 is chiefly for long trains, and even those assignments are being taken away. The AEM7 runs on almost every train, including long distance trains, regionals, the last few metroliners, clockers, keystones, SEPTA, and MARC. See what I mean?

Ok. As I saw those a huge smile formed on my face.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M-1/3
M-7
P32ACDM
Shoreliner II
FL9 (NALW can you hear me?)
ACMU (Island Electric?)
I see we have finally found Metro North.
There is one thing missing, though, and that is a route to run them on.
Will these be out sometime this year? I can wait. I would like to be a beta-tester for this particular model. Should I send you an e-mail?

RE: Toast Anyone?

I've got them already! I haven't run them yet, but I might make an activity (personal use only) that uses these cars and the Metro North equiptment in the file library. From the screenshots it's hard to believe that they are still in beta, but after learning about the physics, eng file, cabview, and passenger view I am convinced that these are not quite ready for release, but when they are released, they should be one of the best models released for MSTS.
You posted in the summer of 2001 requesting M-series cars. I remember this because my responses were some of my first posts. Now you are working on the M-7s, and M-1s and M-3s are in beta, with a possibility of even (hint) more models.

I consider this one to be a masterpiece. Ran in front of the train, took this picture, and ran back to the platform all before the train pulled out. I got it up to 80 MPH before I decided to try it on another route (in camera 4 the sky was always grey on NEC4) but then the other route, Tokyo-Hakone, didn't load.

RE: Oh no!

The wires are buzzing again! – image 66

Sorta reminds me of the Golden Book I had almost 50 years ago about the locomotive named Little Toot who liked to jump the tracks and go over to a nearby field and smell the buttercups. Then one day after the engineer and conductor had all they could stand of that, all the train crew were positioned around the right-of-way and started waving red flags at him to keep Little Toot on the tracks. Apparently it worked, he grew up and had to face the reality that life isn't a bowl of...buttercups. Suspect that 50 years later Thomas and his friends on the Island of Sodor are going through similar adolescent dilemmas.Aloha, Jeff Link
