Officially opened in 1920, the St. Thomas station replaced the aging Kains St. Depot. It was used continuously through to the end of passenger service and was demolished by the CN in 1966 after it abandoned this section of track. Located on Talbot St. in the center of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, this station was always a busy spot for passengers and train watchers alike.( The London & Port Stanley is a route I have under construction in my spare time with no timetable for release. You can follow my progress at my web site - L&PS ) Wayne Train 4 is pulling into the station on the southbound track. The train order signal always showed red since this was a required stop for all L&PS passenger trains.
Wayne, you keep blowing me away with your fine work. Your station is the best I've seen yet. Absolutely a work of art! Are you going to upload this architectural feast to the library? Allways your biggest fan,Tim
Paid a visit to the web site. I am truly impressed with the artistry that is going into this route and it's rolling stock. Thanks for all the effort you are putting into it. NORFOLK & WESTERN Precision TransportationMike Rector mrector@columbus.rr.com
