Check out that 2948. It's an Ex-Conrail GP38, although the unit has "NS" initials instead of "PRR", and it's labaled a GP38-2. This isn't one of the 5500-Series rebuilds either. Odd huh? Here she is a couple years ago in Greensboro, NC.Jake Mensel ___________________http://www.trainweb.org/nsrw/
Nice pictures Adam. Salisbury is one of my favorite areas. I assume you got to see the station, and especially the NC Transportation Museum at Spencer. Several good items there including Sou Crescent E8 6900, a Sou FP unit, an ACL E4, a Sou GP30, a N&W geep painted in the passenger scheme, and all in working condition, not to mention the manu other things they have. Hope you got to see a little of Linwood Yard to the north a little ways also! Great place for railfanning.
Stephen, just to let you know I live about 10 to 15 minutes from the museum. LOL So I get to go to that area pretty often. All those pics excpet one was taken at the wye in Salisbury.Adam
