re...Use Print Screen or the "Prt Scr" key on your keyboard. Doing so creates a file in MSTS like...scrgrb1.pcx. But where is the file when doing so out of MSTS and just at the Desktop? And what is the file extension?

Here is mine!!!Canadian Pacific Railway train #310 passes Marathon at MP 63.15 going east towards Sudbury were the robot will be takin off then to Montreal for unloading.The train was 2 AC4400's and about 50 ld's a GE AC4400 and another 50 or so loads. Locotrol trains started running this year. Also if you go to the left about a 1000ft you will be in deep water in Peninsula Harbour on Lake Superior.Enjoy,

An evening shot of X51, S307 and X53 crossing the bridge over the Cairn Curran Reservoir near Newstead in central Victoria, Australia with an up wheatie in February 2002. Unfortunately, Australia is experiencing a pretty severe drought at the moment. You can see where the water was in 1994 by the stains on the piers. I usually play with Jake( ATF1224 here) In his "MOW server".

I got my background off this site:http://www.geocities.com/laffe69/starwars.htmI liked this pic enough that I decided to use it for my background.
(much to the chagrain of my brother, who is a hardcore Trekkie)
I posted the base bitmap rather than a desk top screenshot for 2 reasons
1) The image is 640x480, and my desktop is 1024x768 (stretch effect)
2) The file would be too big for upload at 1024x768 resolutionJonathan Nikiforovs.

OK.....I guess I'm a little dense in this area but.....I can "print screen" with no trouble while in MSTS and get all kinds of *.pcx fotos. But.....how does one get a shot of their desktop? What kind of file (extension) is created and where is it stored?TIA

Since no one else is bothering to help, I guess it's up to me.Hitting "Print Screen" outside of MSTS does not create a file. It copies the entire screen to the Windows clipboard. Open an image editing program (or MS Paint if you don't have one), paste it into a new image, and save the image as a .jpg.You may have to trim or reduce size to get it under this board's 100kb limit.Hit Alt/Print Screen to capture only the top window.
