Guys,
I have placed the Regional INI Files & associated code on the yahoo groups web site:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yd_yardduty/files/or see me online and I'll transfer the files via AOL's IM service - my username is NAGAJIM. (FYI - Naga is Indonesian for Dragon)To use:
Download and unzip into the Main Yard Duty Folder - usually:
C:|Program Files\Yard DutyWhen starting YD in future - run the file "ydstart.exe" - you can get your existing YD shortcut to point to this file or setup a new shortcut (right click on file: Select "Send to": Select "Desktop(create shortcut)"When run a window will open and you will be prompted to enter a single digit 1-9. This will automatically start YD with your choosen Regional File loaded. The National INI file will remain on the server for a short time only - this will then be replaced by the IN & OH Regional. At which time if you start YD as you do now that is the only region you will have active. No Maps have been added yet. When posting maps resumes - I will re-release all the Regional Ini's with each batch of maps, including updating the default ini on the server (IN & OH).Please note that as soon as any maps are posted it will be impossible to revert to a National Ini (as we have now) without a code update from Jim.I have spoken (I hope) to all of you and everyone is broadly in favour of following this path - ok now it's crunch time - if you are not happy or have unanswered questions - speak to me now - next week will be too late. The Regional files can be modified (within reason) to accomodate players who may operate in more than one region. Thanks,
Jim (Dragon27)
