Guys,
Some further information on the Regional INI File proposal.None of this is set in stone so please feel free to make any comments or suggestions.1. There will be 9 Regions as follows (States comprising the regions whether populated or not are listed + approximate INI file size)R1: ME, MA, NY - 36K
R2: NJ, PA, MD, VA - 36K
R3: IN, OH - 36K
R4: NC - 36K
R5: GA, FL, SC, MS, TN, KY, AL - 36K
R6: IL, WI, IA, MN, ND, SD - 39K
R7: MO, KS, OK, AR, TX, LA - 38K
R8: WA, OR, NV, WY, NE, AL, CO - 37K
R9: CA - 39K2. These inis are now available - all have been checked for compatibility with the YD code.3. I propose to put together a front end code which will load a user specified ini and launch YD. As soon as this is available I will distribute these inis for people to try (in the comfort of their own homes).4. In the meantime if anyone wants to test an ini - catch me when I'm online - and I can make any available via the server (this would be a temporary situation only).5. If anyone has concerns about this - please you must speak now - we as a Community must either move as one with this or not move at all.6. If new maps are posted using this system it will be impossible to revert to a National ini system until the updated version of the code is available. However, as soon as the updated code is available I shall withdraw the Regional inis and we will again move to a National system (all the maps posted in the mean time will be available)7. At this stage it is impossible to say how many new maps can be posted.Let me know you thoughts on this please - either post here / catch me online or send an email to jameshill@dsl.pipex.comThanks,Jim (Dragon27)

RE: Regional INI files

Jim,
As I said before, I fully support the regional .ini concept. The regions look fine to me...NC gets its own region...cool! I really appreciate the amount of work you have put into the project! Thanks!Corey
