I don't want to be totally selfish with my mapmaking so from now on I am gonna be offering my services to help out players who don't have time for maps or don't want to make them. I am going to bounce back and forth between doing a round of my own maps, then doing some for some tother YD'ers. Feel free to leave requests on here and if I have any interest in it I will consider it for a future project. I would prefer to do mainly midwest maps but am open to about anything. So far I will be doing:UP Neff Yard in KC for VIPOR & SP Englewood Yard in Houston for Delwen98.Lets see some suggestions.

Hey Dan, that's not at all a bad idea!Matt, any interest in tackling Lakeside Yard and the Union Station junction? It'll give us a good springboad from which others can fill in more of the area. Yak at me on AIM, I'll show ya what I'm talking about. -Dave

RE: ****TAKING REQUESTS FOR MAPS****

Hi guys, remember me?
I sometimes visit this forum and lurk in the background. I hope everybody us doing fine these days. The Guilds Lake Yard in Portland, Or. was made by me last year, but never finished. It does need some work on the curves and other bits but the largest part is done. It has BNSF main IM yard, the Gunderson railcar factory, a dockside facility and a number of industries. This might be a good place to start of that area. I also made some other maps in that area, but i don't seem to remember how far those were and i can't check them in YD. I believe a UP yard and a port facility with grain and ore loaders were two maps i did some work on.I sent the maps to someone, i think DaveH but i am not sure, but i must have them here somewhere.Erik a.k.a. RE: Color Maps

Now that you mention the color maps Dave, is there any plan or possibility that the resolution will be done under 1 now that you can zoom even closer. Even just one zoom in shows so much more detail and better track laying. Just an idea I had to bring up. Ha!Del

RE: Color Maps

The closer resolution can and will be a great tool for track laying. Sure your image will be 1m but who is to say ya can't zoom in on TS while your laying track?Just a suggestion...haha.
