Yard Duty - Beta 1.0.45 Released – image 2

I guess you can tell that I've been busy! Lots of good stuff in this one, so please read carefully:New Features:
0) There are now two ways to populate loader/unloader lines with cars. a) You can click on the line and then press the 'Populate' button. This populates the one line, if possible. b) From the menu, you can use the 'Populate Map' command (...Map\Loaded Map\Populate Map) to populate all unoccupied lines on the map. Enjoy!1) When Loading/Unloading cars the 'easy way' you train returns to the map in an opposite state. In other words loaded cars return unloaded and unloaded cars are loaded with freight and given a new random destination. Cool.2) All new cars are assigned random destinations and random reporting mark. You can change them as you see fit.3) When assigning a random destination from the 'Train Info' screen, you can now limit the destination to a certain state.4) You can now create a train for real or fake exits, although when choosing a fake exit, you should make sure that it actually exists on the map.5) Faster speeds on mainline tracks. Now you can go just as fast as those mainline trains. The entire train must be on brown lines to go fast...6) You can delete cars from the 'Train Info' window, but only when viewing a train from the hard drive, not when you are viewing a train from a map.7) Added a command (...Map\Loaded Map\Fregight Car Count) to tell you how many freight cars are in a map. I currently have 548 cars in my West Colton yard.8) The 'Trains on Server' list now refreshes every 10 min9) Added an option to include your email address in new cars or not.10) Added an option to send email to yourself or not. If you don't like getting emails for your own cars turn this option off.
Improvements:
11) Exits which do not connect to another map are shown as cyan(a fake exit). Exits which do connect are shown as dark blue(a real exit).12) The warning that occur before a mainline train passes through now informs you of what exit the mainline train will use to enter the map. This gives you 30 seconds to get out of the way and set the switches for the mainline train in advance.13) There are two new keystrokes that can be used on the selected car while driving. 'P' will plot the selected car on the North America map an 'H' will show the text history of the car.14) The 'train exit' window now indicates if the exit allows mainline trains to enter.15) Revamped the message at the bottom of the 'Trains' window. Made it more informative.
Fixes:
16) Fixed the acceleration/braking bug that occured when selecting other trains.17) Track editor fixes: There was a bug related to connecting a line to an existing vertical line (This was your bug David!) which has been fixed. Also there was a bug when adjusting lines with the arrow keys. Sometimes the lines would become disconnected. This is fixed.
Enjoy it and let me know how you like it!
Jim

RE: Yard Duty - Beta 1.0.45 Released

I don't know if I really like the idea of cars returning right after they have been delivered the 'easy way'. Many times I have a train for 1-2 destinations and I don't want to deal with these cars, I'd rather just make up another all new train rather than coming back and switching them. I do see why you did this and respect it,However can there be an option to turn it off as well?Chris Lee

Yea, I'm not sure I like this feature myself. I think I'll take it out, or at least make it optional... in the next version.Jim
