Problem with YD code? – image 1

Somebody else brought this up recently, and tonight I experienced it for myself. After loading YD and checking
on revisions to a map, then closing the map window, I wandered elsewhere on my computer to look at some
websites and noticed things were going pretty slowly.I loaded up XP's Task Manager and discovered that with nothing going on in the program it was chewing up
all of my available CPU usage:Problem with YD code? – image 2Jim, this is a problem that needs to be dealt with: With no yards loaded, the prog should just sit there like
a bump on a log and not demand any resources.-Dave

Yes, this is true. Once you 'open a map' YD will always be 'animating the map, even if nothing is moving and you are in 'paused mode'.(Note that you can still scroll the map in paused mode and flip switches.) What I really need to add is a 'sleep mode' which you can activate, which will make YD not animate anything at all.I will add this to my to-do list. Thanks,
Jim PS: Funny you noticed this now. Aren't you supposed to be studying or something?
