Due to increasing workload the following yards are now vacant - Haley, Van Farmersburg Mine Port Of AlbanyFeel free to post me trains at any yard from Seattle southwards to Mojave, as I am retreating to the west coast where its quieter
Yea, things are getting hot in the east. If you want to work a lot its coming real soon. I'm working on Lehighton, where NS/CR interchanges with the R&N. Also working on Easton where the Portland Secondary and the Washington Secondary branches off from the Lehigh Line. There is also a large factory in Easton that produces High and Wides. Continuing on, I'll be working up the Portland Secondary real soon where there are 2 coal plants that recieve about 3 trains a week(now, more back in CR days) each. Also there is a huge grain Mill, Conagra at Martins Creek. I will be redoing Allentown and Manville and also working my way west to Alburtis where a large secondary with a lot of customers, the C&F will be tieing in. NY, PA and NJ are going to be a lot of work real soon with a few new jobs. I think that once Easton comes on-line I'm going to pull out of North Jersey and someone else could take over, that is a massive job in and of itself.Chris Lee Train Artisan
I am working on the Boeing plant in Everett Wa. and the junction at Mukilteo where the Boeing spur branches off of the Seattle-Everett mainline. After that i plan to do Lake Yard in Portland Or. Chris, is there an oppotunity for hooking your new yards up to the portland area? Let me know.
No-can-do, Erik. These groups of maps are on opposite sides of the continent, and these days we're making connections as close to prototype as possible.-Dave Conrail Albany Division ...striving for "Continuous Quality Improvement" http://gcdranet.homelinux.com/davehonan/Yard Duty Superintendent of Maps http://members.trainorders.com/dwhonan/yd/
This is a misunderstanding, Erik thinks that I'm talking about Portland OR, a city of over a million. I'm doing maps in Portland PA, a town of maybe 10,000. Quite aways and many people away. Chris Lee Train Artisan
I suppose I should have paid a little more attention to the minutiae, but since I knew beforehand where both of you (Erik & Chris) were making maps, I never made the Portland connection. Whoops! And darn, I can't even claim tiredness as an excuse! -Dave Conrail Albany Division ...striving for "Continuous Quality Improvement" http://gcdranet.homelinux.com/davehonan/Yard Duty Superintendent of Maps http://members.trainorders.com/dwhonan/yd/
