I downloaded the trial of YD last night. When I start it up and am offline, it crashes, rebooting the PC. Not surprising that I'm using Windows XP. Have Celeron processor, computer is 1 year old or less, 256 Mb ram, Intel 82845G/GL video card.Help??
Hmm, I've run YD on both 98SE and now on XP and even though it has had it stability issues I find that it crashes more due miscommunication with the server than with the actual program.Maybe downloading it again would help? What about xing out of everything else and running it?I must say that YD on XP seems to be much more stable than on 98SE.Chris Lee Train Artisan
Just for kicks what error messege do you get?I have a LAN here at Lafayette and when I open YD using it it crashes, I believe this is due to the stupid firewall which can't protect crap but that is another story. Anyways, I shut down the network connection and then start YD and then immediately fire it back up and YD is in offline mode with no problems. I then go on 56K to exchange trains and shoot the breeze a little.Chris Lee Train Artisan
Guys, I have just upgraded to XP and trial mode seems to be working properly. In other words, I have not been cast into expired mode prematurely. I'm not sure what is going on with the people this has happened to, so just let them know I will be happy to restore their trial period for them.Jim
