here are a couple of ideas, let me know what you think: 1: an option for disabling the "Take default path in 4 seconds" 2: adding an "excessive impact" and "Repaired" note in the history of a car. 3: the ability to save or load different colorschemes. I have developed a colorscheme specifically for Corwith, where each group of destinations has a single color, so i have 5 or 6 colors which makes sorting much easier. 4: in the upload box an option where the YM of the yard the train enters is automatically shown (so next to the "anyone", team, and person textbox there is a YM option)
#4 is a very good idea!A couple answers: - Regarding #1, simply unchecking the box will allow you all the time in the world to choose the route you wish to take. - Regarding #3, a manual workaround for this is to export your current color scheme, then manually rename the file to something like "YDColors-Corwith.ini". You can then create and export other schemes to your heart's desire. When you want to bring one back in, rename it to "YDColors.ini" and import it. If you do this, be sure to keep a set of backups in a separate folder to ensure you don't accidentally overwrite anything.-Dave Conrail Albany Division ...striving for "Continuous Quality Improvement" http://gcdranet.homelinux.com/davehonan/Yard Duty Superintendent of Maps http://members.trainorders.com/dwhonan/yd/

I know how it works, I watch tv while i play YD and when i am 4 seconds too late, my train runs into the next map. I just would like to prevent this by having an option in the Options menu.>- Regarding #3, a manual workaround for this is to export >your current color scheme, then manually rename the file to >something like "YDColors-Corwith.ini". I already did this, but with only a small adjustment the program can do this, it makes life a wee bit easier
1) Maybe someday 2) Not a bad idea... 3) Why not always use the Corwith scheme? Yes, you can fiddle with the renaming the YDColors.ini file for this purpose, I guess. 4) Not a bad idea. Crossed my mind as well, but there can be more than one person assigned to a map...KingJPW

Yes, you can >fiddle with the renaming the YDColors.ini file for this >purpose, I guess. If, for example i were to go to another yard, say somehere in California, my cars would mostly be orange and purple, orange for UP yards in Ca. and Purple for BNSF yards there. So if i could easily make a new colorscheme for that yard, it would enable me to work much more efficient >4) Not a bad idea. See Dave´s post about a pulldown, you´re a good softwaredesigner as far as i can tell, i am sure you can think up something
