My ISP doesn't permit relaying, and requires authentication. Since Yard Duty doesn't support authentication servers, I can't play! Jim suggested I post here, as someone might have a workaround.Any ideas? I cannot change ISPs, so don't suggest it. This is going to come up sooner or later anyway, since most national providers are moving to authentication mail servers and prohibited relays to reduce spam and increase security. Thanks,
David

RE: Any Help With Non-Relaying ISP?

David
i play YD but am not connected with ISP
i start up connected to internet + load game from server -
it states not connected and i click OK
IT THEN LOADS SERVER INFO
which allows chat +up load or download of trains
you can stop internet connected or not but i disconnect as only one line in + is needed for phone
the only thing you are not allowed to do is empty wagons the easy way
ie by going off screen via light blue route
so as to play as should i produce private e-mail
that is for all deliveries that have e-mail attachments in train list
+ when i empty in sidings i copy wagon number down plus type +add copy of history for that particular wagon + my name
if a lot delivered that are same i group together in 1 email to that person
if you hand over train i will return delivery e-mail but make certain your address is att.
the e-mails are all stored as i am not connected to internet +
dispatched as group
when next start up internethope this helps as i enjoy game been playing since last october as beta till membership in Jan this year

Guys, I will work on improving offline play, which may resolve this problem to a large degree. Give me a few days. I have some ideas...Jim
