Hi,
i downloaded YD yesterday and tried it out. It gave me couple of error messages. DaveCR0 and DaveHonan were kind enough to help me get rid of those messages, which didn´t work unfortunately. I´ll try again later. I have a few questions:
1. should i always be logged on? i am on dial-up and 99% of the time the connection is idle.
2. could the files be transferred any other way? At work i use the net on my lunchbreaks, but i cant access FTP. (the program quits with an error message as it can´t find the ftp server).
3. I see the money counter and i understand the basic concept, but how does this work in more detail?
4. How does the map feature work, i see the lines, and zoom in on a yard, but i havent been able to see more. Since i am from europe i am not very good at the geographical knowledge of the US
5. why is the game so expensive? i am not particularly wealthy and i find it expensive, especially since a lot of people contribute to this program. But this is just my opinion.Erik a.k.a. YellowSignal

1) The game doesn't work if you are not online, becasue emails are sent when delivering cars.
2) Files must be transfered using FTP in the game.
3) In short, some things increase your account and other things decrease your account. That's all there is to it.
4) In short, the North America map is there to see how all the yards are inter-connected. Also, you can enter a map by clicking on it in the North America map, plus a few other neat things.
5) There are many reasons.Jim
