I am pleased to announce that Dave Honan has acheived the status of Yard Duty Master Mapmaker. His recent submission of Selkirk Yard is a flawless masterpiece which I will happily post with NO modification on my part. And, yes it does surpass Debutts in complexity! All you newbie map makers should make friends with him and learn how it is done. Ask him questions to lighten my load... Congratulations Dave!KingJPW

RE: Master Mapmaker: Dave Honan

Wow... that's certainly a nice thing to wake up to! Thanks much, Jim!Some Selkirk stats for everyone:
Receiving Yard - 11 tracks
South Departure Yard - 4 tracks plus one runner
North Departure Yard - 9 tracks plus two runners
Classification Yard - 70 tracks* (prototype - I had to eliminate one track from each group due to space constraints)
total yard length - ~5.5 miles
classification capacity - over 3,200 cars/dayI worked from three track diagrams of the yard to produce the most accurate representation I could. The complex Hump lead and East End ladders are entirely prototypical; the Hump lead allows a train to enter almost any Receiving Yard track from the east as another train is being humped, while the East End ladder allows three pull-out crews to work simultaneously.Selkirk will be posted with a group of other maps representing North Jersey, allowing me a bunch of new maps to work on in the Northeast, my new focal point for CSX ops.-Dave
