Anyone else getting a total system reboot after a few minutes of running the program under Win XP? No error message or anything, just suddenly staring at a black screen and a rebooting computer.Running: Athlon XP 2200+ Gigabyte KT333 motherboard NVidia 4200 Ti 64 MB video Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 3D sound Latest drivers for everythingInterested to hear of anyone else having this problem.- David C in CA
Just a little more info:512 Megabytes of RAM. This is a high-end gaming platform; I use it to run all my 3D games, so it gets pushed pretty hard and is compatable across the board. I play games professionally (literally), so I'm quite sure it's not my system that has stability issues, on it's own. Hope we can figure out what it is ASAP so I can play this promising game reliably!I've already finished everything but the trackwork for the Guadalupe Interface Yard on the Central Coast of CA. My plan is to build all of the Pac Coast route from Santa Barbara up to San Francisco. After that, I can work on the UP yard in Salt Lake City, and the Sparks Yard (Reno, NV), based on materials I have at home.Just need the game not to crash! David
I'll be posting a new version in the next day or so. Maybe It'll work better. Glad to see that you are enthusiastic about making some maps, especially in the San Francisco area. I find that at least one mainline map in between yards gives a sense of travel and distance between yards. In addition to yards, consider doing some interesting mainline maps as well.Jim
Really haven't any problems with XP. Once in a while on bootup of Train Sim I get a blue screen with a parity conflict and I must shut down manually and restart. Reason ... unknown
