Rinding in trains – image 1

Q:
Has anybody been able to download trains within yards (.tr1 files)
successfully? Most of the time, I get an error message stating that
there are cars in the way, even when the yard is completely empty. I
think it only worked once or twice for me. Very frustrating.A:
In general this should not happen but I think I know what is going on. Some of you guys are working with 'highly' modified .yrd files. This feature ASSUMES that the sender and recipient have the same .yrd files on their computer (i.e. the files from the server). There is a possiblility that this feature will not work properly if the you (or the other person) modify the tracks in a yard, particularly the tracks where the train is supposed to be places. So the lesson is: Remove trains from trackwork that has not been modified!!! Hope this helps,
Jim

One of the yards that this happened in was DeButts. It happened to myself and NSSpike (same train, neither one of us was able to "ride" it out). As far as I know, we are both using the yard trackage off of the server.Paul
