Dave, I wanted to know about Kearny that you are working on, I'm looking at putting together Oak Island right now and want to make sure we aren't working on the same place at once.http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=11&x=1432&y=11266&z=18&w=2I'm working on that area, east to the bridge west to almost the tower at Valley, is that in your area?Chris Lee

RE: To Dave H

Dunno what your tastes are, but I find the Chemical Coast Secondary (starts at the wye in the middle of Oak Island's south side, under I-95) very interesting: Lots of industries and piers, along with the E-Rail intermodal facility. I think I have maps for most of it, too, if you find it to your liking.-Dave

RE: To Dave H

Nope! Let me give ya a rundown:Starting at the south end of CP-5 on the west side of the NYS&W tracks is CSXI Little Ferry Intermodal. South of that, where I-95 goes over, is the Ridgefield Park Auto Site on the east side of CSX. South of that, where the River Line makes its big bend east into Weehawken Tunnel, is North Bergen Yard. The only one of these that I've done is N Bergen.-Dave

RE: To Dave H

Dave, How do you want to work that? Do you want to combine it or do them as two seperate yards? I'm also assuming this is what you did.http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=10&x=2909&y=22579&z=18&w=2Also, I've been looking for this Erail place and am not finding much. This look familiar?http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=10&x=2855&y=22524&z=18&w=2Chris Lee

RE: To Dave H

Chris-Yes, the first image you linked is North Bergen. With their proximity, it might be best to combine Little Ferry & Ridgefield Park into one map. I'd start with the north side of CP-5 and head down to around CP-3; send me an email (David.Honan@Rose-Hulman.edu) and I'll pop my N Berg map to you so you can see where I left off.The second link is along the Chem Coast Sec, at Port Newark. E-rail is here:http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=11&x=1422&y=11252&z=18&w=2To the west is Elizabethport Yard; to the east is the E-Rail Terminal. The CC Sec goes northeast/southwest through here, paralleling the highway (New Jersey Tpke). If that's something you'd map a yard map of, let me know and I'll see if I can scrounge up some track maps.-Dave
