I noticed on the Chinook mine and the Spring Creek mine that there is passenger car loading tracks on either side of the coal loader. Is that a joke? Not very funny in my opinion.Paul Metzger NS Team Northern Region
No it's not a joke. Basically when a loader line is hidden (e.g. under a coal tipple), I want to make it obvious that a loader is there by adding an visible loader (purple) line nearby. I choose to make it a passenger unloader since it is unlikely that passenger cars would be taken to a coal mine.... Maybe it would be better if I make an unloader line that unloads nothing, to avoid confusion, but this will need to be programmed. Anyway, just live with it for now...Jim
Well, the cars would become loaded too soon. The idea is that the coal is loaded when the car is under the tipple, and not before. I'm trying to make it look visually correct, which is hard. Examine the coal unloader at Krannert. It works well. Cars enter loaded and exit the tipple unloaded. That is the effect I am going for.Jim
