Hey Teams BNSF and UP, are you interested in starting up a unit grain train service to the Port of Albany? It'd be a loads east - empties west operation, and I'd be looking to receive trains of 60-75 cars in length. Interchange would be Barr eastbound and Des Moines or Avondale westbound. Service frequency would be 2-3 trains/week. Anyone want to set something up?-Dave QG 14.32, CSXT Selkirk Sub http://www.davehonan.gcdranet.com/
Hey, the port manager doesn't care where the grain comes from, so long as it's quality stuff that he can sell!-Dave QCP 7.1, CSXT Port Sub http://www.davehonan.gcdranet.com/
Its funny how fast a discussion can change from Grain to some other narcotic Paul and I have already agreed on the Mt. Pocono Grain facility, I just need to get my butt in gear and do it. Does that facility load or unload cars Paul? I believe its unload???Chris Lee Train Artisan
Yes, Chris they unload grain at Mt. Pocono. They are a processing facility. I haven't heard anything about the outbound. I'll try to do a little checking. So then, we could send grain trains from Avondale to the Port of Albany, Seattle, and eventually Mt. Pocono. 3 destinations. Great.Paul Metzger NS Team Northern Region
