Stock car idea – image 2

I know cattle is mainly moved by truck these days, but I was thinking of adding stock cars to the game. Then when you select a train with loaded stock cars, it will play a sound of a bunch of cows 'mooing', I think that would be pretty cool. Also, stock cars were usually positioned near the engines, so it could add operational challenge. We could set up trains going from farm industries to slaughter house industries. Let me know if you like this idea. JimPS: Vegetarians, please ignore this post.

RE: Stock car idea.

Hell, screw the car, I just want the mooing sound! Sounds like a good idea, it would add a nice industry to the middle of the country. There used to be many slaughter houses around NYC, however they are long gone. I guess the cattle heads west not east.Chris Lee

Actually, I don't think they ship any cattle anymore. But I agree, it would be a nice industry, and the mooing would definitely be cool.Paul Metzger

Yea, I'm trying to keep it realistic. Whenever I go railfanning I always here the reefer engines running so I think this sound will add to the effect. Can't say that I've ever seen a tanker explode, but yes, the cows do get upset at excessive impacts. Jim

Happened at Selkirk a few years ago. Only scorched the cars on adjacent tracks, but one end of the car stopped rolling a half-mile away...-Dave
