Ok, it had to happen sooner or later, but the free Beta offer is now over. Does that mean there will be no more improvements to Yard Duty? Of course not! Yard Duty will be continually improved, and new features added as I see fit. But it means that it is a membership-based community and the people playing the game need to support it so that it can continue to grow and thrive. Pricing and payment methods have beed updated here:
http://groups.msn.com/YardDuty/registration.msnwWith a 1 year membership, the cost is less than USD $5 per month. This is not an excessive amount when considering the bandwidth requirements of the game or considering it's entertainment value. If you play only once a week for 2 hours, you are looking ad 75 cents per hour. That is not a lot of money, no matter how you look at it. So please don't whine or complain! If you enjoy this game, please support it. I cannot do the game completely at my own expense, sorry.
Long live Yard Duty! Thanks for your support,
