Then it add other types of rolling stock when it all should have been coal units.
Also it changed the yard I set it too, to a diffrent yards Auzze

Well, I just ran a long train over this portion with no problems, so I guess it's going to be a tough bug that I'll have to examine in code. It only happens when going from a perfectly horizontal or vertical line to a diagonal line. I know that much...Jim

RE: Buugggssss

Jim, just an FYI, I loaded a 50-car coal train there this morning with no problems. One thing I have noticed that the program seems to be a real memory hog. Is that because of the size of the jpg files or what? It almost appears that (visually) train performance degrades the longer the program runs: 40mph on the first map I load just whisks a train along, but after going to 5 or 6 other maps, it seems like trains just don't move across the screen as fast. I have no cars or other trains on any of these maps that could be a cause for bogging things down. Also, while laying track on the port map yesterday, twice I rec'd out-of-memory errors (#480?... can't remember).-Dave

On my machine, I get different framerates mostly based on the size of the map (meaning the width & height), but also lots of cars (meaning several hundred visible) slow things as well. Realize that, while the map images are distributed as a compressed jpg file, when it comes time to use the image it is converted to a bitmap. So the amount of memory consumed is directly related to the width and height of the image. This is why I rotate & trim images when they are submitted.I haven't noticed any serious memory leaks, but it couldn't hurt to shut down and restart YD every few hours, if you think things are slower than usual...Also, if the framerate is slow, you can resize the window to a smaller size. This helps as well.Jim

RE: Buugggssss

Jim,
I ran a 90 wagon train through the loader and also had it run off the track same as what happened to Auzzie.
Backed the train up and approached the other way and had no problem.
Also when crossing over to the line back to Donkey Crk the train kept going straight ahead for several wagon lengths before jumping over to the right line.
This is a great game with unlimited potential.
My knowledge of the U.S. system is limited so bear with me guys

RE: Buugggssss

"Dolton, we have a problem..."Jim, how should I modify the trackwork to correct? I did a little experimentation: An solid train of ore cars navigated the curve without a problem, but a 20-car autorack train experienced the difficulty demonstrated below. Oddly, the cars seemed to "derail" at a track section down near the bottom of the map, not at the entrance to the curve.-Dave
