Is anyone working on a St Louis yard or have maps available. I know nothing about St Louis but this seems like the next logical place to extend west. I don't want to start a map if someone else is already working there. If no one else is working on it, what yard should I do? Anyone know St Louis?Alan

One place to start could be the Terminal Railroad Association Historical & Technical Society: http://TRRA-HTS.Railfan.net/ Dunno what they have to offer, but I've had their site bookmarked for a couple years. -Dave QG 14.32, CSXT Selkirk Sub http://www.davehonan.gcdranet.com/
The arch is near the TRRA yard in St. Louis. It might be able to be included in the image. I lived for a year in St. Louis, including spending time in the interlocking tower that controlled the Eastern entrance to that yard. But alas, I don't have any track charts. Maybe the TRRA HS link can provide something.Paul Metzger
They have some charts for sale, but nothing online. Just checked it out. They do have links to other sites that may be helpful for other areas though.Paul Metzger
Now that I think about it, I realize I might be able to find something on St Louis at work. If I can locate the map I'm thinking of, I'll plot a pdf version of it (warning, it'll be big!) and provide it to whomever wishes to work on the area. Note that it won't show every little detail, but should give you an idea of what railroads and yards are where for comparison against the sat photos.-Dave CSXT Design & Construction Co-op Albany Division Headquarters QG 14.32, CSXT Selkirk Sub http://www.davehonan.gcdranet.com/
I found the map (see above) today and have a 525K pdf available for anyone who wants to tackle the area.-Dave QG 14.32, CSXT Selkirk Sub http://www.davehonan.gcdranet.com/
