* Name of Route: Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway. * Version and Release Date: Version 1.0, 5/3/03* Description (~100 words or less): The Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway was originally built as the Wabash-Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad by George Jay Gould, who was hoping to capture a considerable amount of Pittsburgh's Steel mill freight traffic, because of a promise made by Andrew Carnegie. When the PRR heard of the news they immediately cut their freight rates and the steel traffic never materialized. The new road soon went into receivership and was reorganized as the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway. With a watchful management and increasing coalmine traffic the road became very profitable. * Installation Method: Executable install program* Size of Download: 70 MB. * Size of Installed Route: 150 MB.* Fantasy, Prototypical, or Freelance Operations: Prototypical* Freight or Passenger: Freight* Era or Genre: Late 1960: thru early 1980's* Location: Western Pennsylvania* Length of Mainline: 30 Miles* Length of Branches: 2 Miles* Number of Branches: 2* Number of Sidings: 9* Number of Yards: 2* Mixture of Dual and Single Track: Single track with passing sidings (5 passing sidings)* Level of Trackside Detail: average* Amount of Scenery Completed: 90%* FPS Specs, with qualifiers: 10-32 FPS depending on area, PIII 866 Mhz, 256 MB ram, Geforce2 with 64 MB ram.* Activities Provided:2, An intro train ride with default equipment and 1 activity with non-default equipment * Non-Default Consists or Rolling Stock Required in Activities: Yes, equipment need is listed in the readme file.* Add-In Track Sets: Xtracks required, compatible with v3.2 or later: Yes Xtracks v3.4 or higher required. * Tsection.dat file used: Standardized Tsection.dat, release 00008 or later: Standardized Tsections.dat used
