Name of Route: Cliff Hanger (for MSTS)Version and Release Date: 1 (July 2001)Description: This fictional mountain route tests one's driving abilities, the performance of the rolling stock in difficult conditions, track laying methods and steep terrain shapes. The challenges of this route include all sorts of track maneuvers: zigzags, u-turns, steep grades, narrow turns, reversal loops, wyes, steep snaky and knotted curves, an open-pit mine, a volcano, a helix, a spiral, etc. These can be tried in good to poor visibility with short to long trains, increasing the difficulties. The route is not at all decorated, not even with textures; the scenery is the terrain shaping itself; tunnels are "invisible" but usable.Installation Method: Unzipping after copying the MSTS DEFAULT folder.Size of Download: One file of 0.4 MB.Size of Installed Route: 17 MB.Fantasy, Prototypical, or Freelance Operations: Fantasy.Freight or Passenger: Both.Era or Genre: Mountain, any era.
