Hi everyone, I'm back again with some questions about the routes and trains. I've been search ages for a NYC Metro-North route. A full line that runs from North NY to Grand Central along with a realistic M series train. The boy who bathes in mud and eats pie.
Well, I've made one for BVE. It's 90% realistic compared to a real M1.Good luck man. When I clean out my computer and install my softwares again, I'm in for some modeling. I'll probably target the M7a since no one's working on it. And probably an M8 a.k.a "Tomato Cans".
Just be careful when modeling the M8. Be sure to tell everyone that it's fictional. There are many people on the New Haven Line who feel left out because all the other lines are getting new cars, and I don't want anyone getting their hopes up when the M8 hasn't even been brought up by Metro North. It would probably look like an M7A except the blue on the front would be red. It have the A/C units on the roof (I believe that's what they are on the M-2/4/6) and AC pantographs. Now if only there were a way in MSTS to switch from 25kV AC overhead to 660V DC third rail...
