TSM Parts Up for Grabs – image 1

LAST EDITED ON Aug-16-04 AT 02:30 PM (EST)

I am beginning to upload bits and pieces of TSM models I have made in the past, in the form of parts, some arranged in DST project files. Others, in DSP, or part files. I just uploaded a project file for my 4-spring trolley Poles, in a set of two: Forward pole down and rear pole up. Here's an excerpt from the Document:The Front pole is split into two parts: The base with the springs attached, and the pole and trolley wheel. This was so that you can adjust the pole to suit your car.The rear pole is parented to Bogie 2, and will rotate with the rear truck. The farther away the pole's axis is from the rear truck (Bogie2), the farther out the lateral "swing" will be, so keep this in mind while building your car/ loco. The pole/wheel is set to 6.2 meters.I have also included a trolley wheel set at 7.2 meters for routes using NEC-height wire. Copy this into your Parts folder first, then delete it, or use it and rotate the pole up to meet it. Some minor point manipulation of the pole's end might be needed to bring it plumb with the wheel. Then copy to your Parts folder and delete. I have included the BMPs for the parts, plus the two ace files needed. So when you generate your car or loco, place these aces in its' directory and overwrite.I hope these will help speed up your projects in the future.
Edit: Something that just occurs to me. I had placed temporary main and bogie2 parts as placeholders to keep the trolley poles' hierarchy assignments. These will need to be deleted after you install the parts on your own project.Thank you.Tim
