Hi!I was running my first local freight from Cross Plains to South Troy when a problem happened. See the map: the train was in position 1 going southward at 10 mph when it "flew" to position 2 going westward at 5 mph. More, the train passed through a caboose without derailing (see screenshot). Why? How to solve this problem? Must I do a tdb rebuilding?Thank you very much.Ivan Furlanis

RE: "Flying" trains on my STT

Hi Ivan,This is a problem we are all too painfully aware of. Watch carefully as you drive your engine across the switch at the bottom end of the wye. You will probably see that it was aligned in the wrong direction. ie, you were passing through the right leg of the switch, but it was aligned left. As soon as your engine passed through, the computer recalculated the path of the train, and the only available path was through the left leg in accordance to the alignment of the switch. And so, suddenly, your entire train was swung over to the left leg. Unfortunately, there is no way for your to move the switch when approaching it from the frog direction. The only fix for this, is to create activities, that properly align the switch before you get to it.Wayne

RE: "Flying" trains on my STT

Thank you Wayne. You're right. That switch is an auto switch and my train was running out of its path. As I want to run STT local freights without a path to permit free travels up and down the line (like Port Odgen and Northern), freights must take turnouts only when they are in the straight position, also when the locals take them from the frog direction. The track building crew has extra works to do!Greetings, Ivan
