LoV fans: If you have already downloaded the IRT Heritage sets from the file library or plan to do so, please update your textures with file LoVtexfx.zip just uploaded to the file library. This update corrects several visual errors and inconsistancies on the front bulkheads of these cars. These sets are our most complex to date and it's almost inevitable that a few items would escape the close attention that we gave to all details on these models. It is our hope that these sets bring back a lot of memories for those who either drove or rode in them and for those who do not remember riding these cars, you'll get your chance this year as New York City celebrates its 100 years of subway transit. Attached screenshots show our Island Electric cars on the marvelous Chicago Elevated Railway route available in the file library and created by Chris Cyko who has done an outstanding job in re-creating the El and subway environment. If you haven't already downloaded his route, I suggest you do so. You'll see below, also, our experienced transit car testers, Gwenny and new trainee, Gabrielle, taking the LoVs out for a spin during one this year's snowstorms.Frederick Dreany Island Electric, East
RE: Texture Update & Fix for IRT Lo-V Heritage sets
Well, I'd have never noticed, if you didn't say anything, Frederick! Heh, heh. But I know too well, how things get missed in a huge project! I am impressed with the Lo-V's, and how many you and Jeff actually put together in this set. The Milwaukee Road boxcab project is daunting, and deeply involved too. With 21 zips involved, for 4 different motor sets, with numerous lash-up possibilites ( 5 -different bobtail and full-size boosters) between all of them, it has been quite a chore to keep things updated and straight. It makes my brain sizzle like bacon just thinking back on it all! So, again, well done and thank you ( and Jeff) for these wonderful aditions to the fleet! I'll go get my updates now.....Timtimmuir@wcn.net
