I know I don't post too often on here but it because I only run trainz. I thought I would share some pics of traction with trainz. Some of the content I created and some others created I hope you guys like! I know there was request for some images of traction in trainz. The majority of these pics are from Trainz 2004These are some concrete tie track I'm currently creating this is the 3rd rail version. The original creator of the 3rd rail is working on a complete set which is all wood tie. I recreated the track with new textures to give it the modern version. I plan to have about 5 versions of these.

These pics are from a trolley module I'm working to display my new Trolley Overhead Pack 1 - Urban. This is the first and most complete set of overhead which can be found in the US cities. I modeled everything based on Philly Poles. I created the track as well. These pics aren't the best but there are more coming soom..

RE: Traction on Trainz!

I'm more impressed with your overhead. And do I understand you correctly that you can have track with overhead and track without overhead on the same route? Overhead is one of the more interesting aspects of traction, and I miss seeing the web-like spans and pull-offs, ears, hangers, trolley-actuated switch and signal boxes, and all that paraphernalia. Especially on carbarn ladders, like the one you've shown. Really nice work, "Phil"! Thanks for sharing!Traction on Trainz! – image 13Timtimmuir@wcn.net

>Traction on Trainz! – image 14 Phil indeed it is true! You can mix and match any number of track and overhead types you can think of or create! There are in fact lots of routes that have electrified and non-electrified lines. The overhead in the pics is one of the most realistic you will be able to find as far as trollys are concerned there are more realistic overhead sets available that are from the Euro-Members which are awesome! I'll get more pics of the trolley stuff on here once I re-work my trolley module.

Tim,To clarify it somewhat more, cantenary is in Trainz only decoration. It doesn't play an active role.
In contrary to MSTS, you don't declare the route to be a specific type.
But the route builder has to place cantenary all by hand.
Objects in Trainz can be of the spline type. That means they can be "stretched".And PhillyTraction, that route looks very attractive. Outstanding work, I want to say. Great job.Dick van den HovenTraction on Trainz! – image 15
