Hi guys,This is a little off-topic and doesn't necessarily fit in with MSTS traction routes, but since there seems to be a renewed interest in the Pacific Electric lately, so I thought I'd mention this. For those of you interested in the Pacific Electric Railway in southern California, you might be familiar with the Arrowhead Hot Springs Line, which was a line built from San Bernardino to the Arrowhead Hot Springs Hotel in the foothills just north of the city. The line was abandoned in 1960 and the tracks are of course long gone, but a large portion of the old right-of-way is still intact. If anyone here is familiar with the San Bernardino area, the right-of-way still exists from Highland Avenue all the way up Electric Avenue, through the foothills, and up into Waterman Canyon. In fact, every now and then, you will still find items left behind in the foothills -spikes, tie plates, etc. I even found a section of trolley wire and connectors a while back.I am now working with our neighborhood association to have the old right-of-way improved with a greenbelt and historic site. I even tried a while back to work on the Arrowhead route for MSTS! I kind of got overwhelmed with it and shelved it for a while. But with all this renewed interest in the PE, I might pick it back up. This brings me to my question. With more people looking at the PE, I was wondering if anyone might have come across any pictures of the PE Arrowhead line. I have been doing research on this line for the past few years (I live just a few blocks away from the old right-of-way) and I've managed to get a handful of pictures, but I'm always on the lookout for more. I have a website on the history of the Arrowhead Line and the project to improve the old r-o-w on Electric Avenue. If possible, I'd like to post more pictures on the site. You can go to the site if you want at the address below.http://www.geocities.com/gatewaycityca/Arrowhead_Line.htmlBy the way...if any other PE fans would like to give a try at building the Arrowhead line for MSTS, I have the route already DEM'd and tiles generated. No track or scenery has been placed, so this would be a blank canvas for you. I think it might be a while before I get around to working on it, so maybe someone else with more route building experience would be interested. Let me know and maybe I could send you a cd or upload it.Chris T.

Hey, Chris, my best wishes for you in your quest for more information. Maybe, just maybe, there's someone out there who has what you need, and just don't know about you yet. Keep thinking positive. Good luck!Timtimmuir@wcn.net

RE: PE Arrowhead Line

Tim,I just saw the "Port City Car Company" website...you need to talk with your associates and see if you can get Pacific Electric added to the section for interurbans. You already have two steeple cab locos, and with your Hollywood cars in the works....well Chris
